Too Much
Sometimes there are too many lists. There are too many obligations/projects/assignments/to-do's. And I miss skating aorund the kitchen floor. I miss watching bad B movies. I miss not feeling as though someone is standing on my chest. Busy, busy, busy. Check out www.explodingdog.com. Drawings by Sam Brown.

FALL - READ
It's fall and that's sad. My toes will soon feel ice-like and I'll be bundled in layers of long underwear and old sweaters. Sigh... Anyhow, here's your fall reading list:
1. Middlesex - Jeffrey Eugenides (epic novel concerning a Greek family and a hermaphrodite)
2. Lunar Park - Brett Austin Ellis (a faux memoir for fans, he's crazy)
3. Tolstoy Lied, A Love Story - Rachel Kodiak (a sweet, talented lady...read her!)
4. Lawn Boy - Paul Lisicky (great writer, great guy, stunning novel)
5. Will You Please Be Quiet Please? - Raymond Carver (a wonderful collection, praise him)
6. Bingo Under the Crucifix - Laurie Foos (impeccable sense of style & skill, my hero)
7. Where the Wild Things Are - Maurice Sendak (classic kid tale, I want to be king of all wild things too)
8. The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time - Mark Haddon (a winning novel with a winning hero)
9. Alternatives to Sex - Stephen McCauley (a book about love, a super artist)
10. Are You There God, It's Me, Margaret - Judy Blume (becasue I still don't know what she's talking about)
